Have large film collection on rakuten, due to uhd quality being better than other services. Unfortunately the app no longer supports purchases of any kind - it has to be done via the website for some reason so now I can't buy what I want on a TV or phone. This has made the app useless in my opinion

I don't know why people are complaining I've used it a few times and used the free settings and theres nothing wrong with it, you get advertising on it but you get that on terrestrial TV anyway, since it's free ?‍♂️ don't know what the problem is, maybe it's your TV isn't as smart as you thought or your internet isn't as fast as it needs too be,but I've not experienced any problems, its good

Very expensive only use this with a bank promotion code. would never pay for a subscription I can stream movies a lot cheaper on other platforms rip off.

I have access to one rental (up to £4.99) a month through my bank account benefits. However, this doesn't the cover the cost of anything I can't watch on other streaming services for much less / better value. The new releases are all really expensive. I'm surprised this service exists as not good value or choice compared to alternatives.

Lloyds film Rakuten TV scheme misleading. Rarerely ever casts without needing to pay an additional fee. Very little on Rakuten we wanted to watch. Most monthly vouchers a waste of time. Ended up Amazon prime which is much better.

RAKUTEN ASKING FOR 20% TAX BEFORE RELEASING MONEY. THIS IS FRAUDULENT!!!! do not pay. We all pay taxes in our own countries. DO NOT PAY IT.

They are scam! They are dangerous people. Don’t give any money to them! I am looking for people that lost money with them to go to a Lawyer and fight with them in the Court. I have lost 1.277,77£ em 2 dias with them. They don’t give my own money back. If you lost money and want go to the lawyer, be part of the group, please contact me urgently!

Keep getting bombarded with emails from these jokers but I've never used them.

Even worse, I can't "unsubscribe" from their emails because I'm not logged in....I can't log in because I don't have a password and.....you've guessed it!....if I try to use lost password it says email not recognised, so i think this is just a bunch of scammers trying to harvest email data etc.

Absolute rubbish service,never reply to emails why do they operate as you can never communicate with them

Excellent. Use Rakuten with various partners (Vitality, Vodafone, Perkbox etc) and always enjoy the titles available on offer. Device support is solid whether I choose to watch on laptop, mobile or my preferred device - Roku (which some of their competitors do not support which is shocking in 2021!).

Rentals are very high quality, some are cheaper than other outlets and of course I also appreciate finding titles that aren't on streaming or save myself from having to go out and buy on dvd/blu-ray etc. Gives plenty of time to watch and playback controls are brilliant.

My only slight problem is that the Roku app seems to default to Polish subtitles despite me having the preference set to 'English' in my Rakuten account online. Playback on all my devices has been rock solid since.

A lot of people complaining about costs etc but you really are watching the wrong things here - find something new, be creative, watch something that isn't on streaming! What you have here is more blockbusters than Netflix, Prime etc

For a great cinematic experience, I paid £ 5 in my city. Big screen and great sound system in my favorite cinema. I have to pay 15 for the premiere at home on this Rakuten. pffff

Total waste of time. I had over £100 worth of points pending at one point and then they were removed without explanation. Contacted customer support on three occasions but never received a response. As I write this I have had over £10 pending for the last couple of months.

Received 10 free codes with Phillips ambilght tv .. it even has the app button on the controller .. clearly paid Phillips a big wedge for this privilege as the site is dreadful ! Voucher codes don’t work , menu is slow and stop, it’s like something a first year student might design
Quite frankly it’s put me off using Phillips again as they clearly did no research

Only giving one star because you can’t given none. Got a voucher number through my bank account and thought I’d give it a try. Firstly you can’t redeem the voucher on the majority of stuff on there. Surprise. Surprise. But alrighty then.
Then it was the whole @rse ache to create an account. It didn’t like my 1st email address so tried an alternative account which finally worked but when I went to log in it told me I had to reset my password. So ok. Sure. Why not. It’s not like I’ve anything better to do right. I went through the entire ball ache process of doing that ONLY for Rakuten to tell me there’s an error. FML. Rakuten can seriously kiss my @ss !!!! What a bunch of bs! Back to Netflix, Prime & Disney + I go. DEFINITLEY NOT missing anything here. Apart from the half hour or so of my life I’ll never get back.
